Dress - H&M (recent)
Shoes - very old
I wore this dress out for a dinner date with the boyfriend a few nights ago.  I had the salmon burger with fries and a pint of beer. YUM.  I was so starved before hand that I completely inhaled the whole meal and was almost busting out of my dress.  Luckily, we were only a few steps from home.  So soon as we got in the door, I peeled it off and got into the boyfriends sweatpants, haha.  I'll definitely wear something a little more forgiving next time we eat at that restaurant.

I'm not sure why but I have been really been liking white and grey together recently.  I might be subconsciously holding on to the last bits of summer before September hits (my birthday month! Woohoo!).  I feel like we've hardly had a summer, so I sure hope the sun holds out for a little white yet.  Summer weather through September would be the best birthday gift ever.

I was so thankful for this barely there top the other day.  It was so hot out that it was nice to feel the breeze through it every so often.

Oh and I had my hair highlighted for the first time in about 8 months.  Certainly more than over due! I really like the way it turned out!

For some reason I have never been drawn to the peplum trend but my addiction to strips over took that when I saw this top.  It's still not my absolute favorite top in my wardrobe but it is flattering on my body shape and I love the faux little sailor pockets on the chest.

What are your thoughts on the peplum trend? Yay or nay?

INSTAGRAM + iPhone issues

Good news! I am finally on the Instagram train! I got an iphone a few weeks back and I am already so addicted to the apps!

BUT I have had some issues with downloading pictures from my phone to my computer and I am hoping someone might be able to help.  For some reason when I transfer pictures to my computer (via USB cord or iCloud) half of the images are Read-only which means I can't edit them at all.  I just find it strange that it is only half the pictures because I take all of them with the same settings.  I hope someone has experienced this problem and can shed some light on the situation!  I am so bad with technology and would really appreciate the help!

Meanwhile, feel free to follow me on Instagram (I have figured out that much, haha!).  My user name is aandreaclare and I usually post a few times a day on everything under the sun including outfits, decor, life and eats!

P.S I am also on Pinterest (so addicting) if anyone is interested.  My user name there is also aandreaclare.

I saw this recipe on Pinterest (original) recently and drooled a little bit.  I am always on the hunt for new, yummy and HEALTHY recipes to try and these seemed like the perfect combination of all three.  They are perfect grab and go breakfast for busy mornings!

Here’s what you’ll need:

2 1/2 cup Oats (old fashioned kind, not quick cooking)
1 cup Plain low fat greek yogurt
2 Eggs
5-6 Packets of Stevia
1 1/2 tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp Baking soda
1 1/2 cup Strawberries, diced, and patted dry + (optional 1/2 cup strawberries, diced to place on top of muffins)
1 tsp lemon juice

Optional 1 scoop protein powder

 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line 12 muffin tins with silicone or foil liners ( I would recommend using a non-stick stray in the foil liners).

 2. Place all of the ingredients (except the strawberries) in a blender or food processor, and blend until oats are smooth. Pour mixture into a medium sized bowl, and stir in strawberries. Divide remaining 1/2 cup diced strawberries over the top of each muffin.

I chose to add a scoop of my protein powder to add a little bit more to it.  This is the one I am currently using.  It is SO yummy (tastes like ice cream!) and has only 115 calories and 25g of protein per scoop.  I use it mostly for snacks and sweet cravings but I also like to experiment adding it to different recipes.

3. Divide batter among cupcake liners, and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.

And enjoy your delicious muffin without guilt!

Summer has finally decided to show up fashionably late to Vancouver.  I have been taking advantage and spending time on the beach and getting around town by riding my bike and walking everywhere!  My feet are so sore!  But it's certainly worth it.  Who knows how long this sun will hold out.

Recently the area around my boyfriends apartment has been booming.  New stores, bars, coffee shops.  It has made a great area so perfect.  I can`t believe how much I love being able to walk just a few steps out the front door to get milk for my morning coffee.

Most recently, a new bar opened up just across the street.  Being a couple that enjoys a drink or two, we naturally ventured over to see what it was all about.  Two thumbs up!  I think we have found our new go-to bar!

.....Yes, my drink of choice is beer. YUM!
