I'd say 90% of the time my style is edgy/grungy/funky…whatever you want to call it.  But every so often, I wake up with an urge to wear something super girly.  This tutu shirt certainly fit the bill for the day.  My boyfriend loves these girly days so he is always sure to pay me lots of compliments when I'm in my girly attire.  He isn't exactly a fan of all my outfits, haha.  He much prefers me in a lady-like skirt and heels over my high waist shorts and cut up shirts.  But thats ok, my style is my style and not everyone is going to love it as much as I do.

Well, I'm currently running on Zero hours sleep after night shift as I write this.  Shortly, I'll be hopping in the car with the boyfriend to head back to the States for some more glamping with a few of our friends.  I am sacrificing my sleep in hopes we will beat some of the long weekend borderlines.  Cheers to the weekend! Have a good one!

I originally saw this t-shirt ages ago and for one reason or another, decided to put it back on the rack.  Weeks and weeks later, I was still thinking about it.  I always figure that if I am still thinking about something I saw while shopping several weeks later, I probably really love it, and it isn't just an impulse buy.  So, I had to go back to get it.  I love the colour combo of this shirt.  It reminds me of an old school ninja turtles t-shirt or something. Paired with my black high waist cutoffs and ankle boots, I definitely felt like I was back in the 90's.

Do you ever find yourself putting things you love back on the rack to avoid an impulse buy? or do you tend to just buy it in the moment?

Sharing a few more pictures from my glamping get-a-way today.  I thought I'd share what I wore to the pool a few times.  As the pool is a bit of a walk (or drive) from my mom's place, I like to cover up a little bit until I am actually situated next to the pool.  We all have our insecurities, so I certainly don't want everything on display on the way down to the pool.  Since the bando top is so in style at the moment, I chose to use my bikini top as a part of my poolside outfit.  I threw on a high waist skirt as a bath suit cover up for my bottom half.  Worked perfectly!

Later on in the day, when we returned to the campsite for happy hour, I added a bandana to keep all my greasy, sweaty, pool hair out of my face (ew!).   I really like the combo of the stripes and the pop of red.  My aunt thought I looked like someone from France...I thought the look came off kind of pin-up like.

What do you think?!

WARNING! Picture overload!! It was SO hard to edit through the hundreds of pictures I took during my camp getaway. Despite the mass volume of pictures, I hope you enjoy the sneak peak into my few days away.  I did my best to pick out pictures from the course of the trip and include images of things we did / ate to keep it interesting.

Let me know if you like these kinds of posts (life type post in addition to outfit posts) or if you just find them to be boring.  Personally, I am a very nosey person, so these life/journal/diary type posts are some of my favourites to scroll through on blogs I love to read.  I would really appreciate your opinion!

Thank you :)

As I mentioned in my previous post, I skipped town the last few days and headed to my moms get-a-way property in US.  This was the outfit I wore for the car ride down there and ended up staying in it all night because it was SO warm out.  I had arrived fully prepared with my winter jacket, kodiak socks and long pants expecting warm days and chilly nights.  It was a pleasant surprise to be completely comfortable in cutoffs and a t-shirt for our evening of s'mores by the campfire.

As for my hair - the night before, I had simply put my hair in french braids to add some texture, then added a few loose curls here and there to downplay some of the frizz.  The next two days I ended up wearing it up in a messy top knot (stay tuned for beach day OOTD's over the next week!).  Heck, I was camping! I wasn't about to fuss with washing, blowdrying, curling ...that's the fun in camping!

It was a perfect mini vacation.  I'm already excited to head back down with a group of my friends at the end of the month! But for now, back to work...

My super awesome boyfriend was nice enough to take these pictures for me a few days ago.  I think we caught that perfect "golden hour" that you always hear about in the world of photography.  I only slightly edited one or two of these pictures.  Good lighting makes all the difference, especially for people who have little camera knowledge, like my boyfriend and I.

I am running on a few hours sleep at the moment.  I came off night shift this morning and did nothing but toss and turn for a few hours in bed.  So, I decided to get up, head out for a run, and finish this post before I head back to work tonight.  Only one more night shift before I am off to the United States tomorrow afternoon after a few hours sleep in the morning (hopefully!).  My oh so lovely mom owns a campsite in the states that is in a "glam-ping" type resort.  She recently retired, so now she has lots of time during the week to be down there, which is nice for me because I often have weekdays off.  So, my schedule for the next few days will include poolside lounging, drinking cool beer, sitting fireside and eating s'mores.  I can't wait! I plan to snap a few pictures while away, so stay tuned for that!

Until then,
