Hair Product – FAT HAIR Thickening Creme

Ever since I started my blog, quite a few people have commented on my hair.  So I thought I would do a post on a product that is a very important part of my hair routine and the end result you see here on my blog most of the time.

First off, a little background on my hair:  I have very fine, partially highlighted blonde hair.  I do have a fair amount of hair but it is VERY fine and it tends to be quite flat if I do nothing with it.  Very rarely do I let it air dry, at the very least I braid it at night and sleep on it for a wavy look in the morning.  So because I’ve been blessed with fine, limp hair, I’m always on the hunt for new volumizing/thickening/texturizing hair products.

This product had actually been sitting under my sink for the longest time.  I probably bought it over a year ago and had no clue into its miracle working properties!

I have to admit, the product itself is a little bit weird looking and I am sure this is the reason I was not using it properly.  Because of its waxy/paste like texture I was using very little of the product in fear that my fresh, clean hair would look heavy, weighed down and dirty again.  As a result, the product did very little for my hair and I quickly gave up on it and threw it under the sink where it would sit for the next year.

Several months ago, I had some extra time on my hands and decided to revisit it.  I applied liberally to my hair (mainly on the crown) by separating my hair into sections and applying the product directly to my roots…

And TADA — volume to fine, limp hair!

Lesson learned, always give a new product a fair chance before discarding it as no good!

I also find that it keeps my hair cleaner for longer as well (I don’t have to use as much dry shampoo the second day) which was another huge plus.  AND…..yes, there is more good news…..it is from the drugstore and is very inexpensive!! You heard it here, good products can be within budget!

Xo, Andrea

I already have fairly thick hair so I don't think I need this — but I'm excited for more hair posts! Would love to know what hairspray/product you use to get the curls to hold so beautifully! xohttp://dreamingenfrancais.blogspot.com
