So I made a little change.  I now have blue hair. At least for a few days…

This was all so out of character for me.  Usually I’m as plain jane as they come, hardly ever break a rule or make big changes.  For whatever reason I was compelled to buy the Garnier colour styler hair dye last week and made the leap last night.  I was just craving a not-so permanent change up.  I made sure to go with something that would wash out in a few days just incase I really hated it. I’m sure I’ll be sick of it pretty quickly, but for now I’m in love!!! The boyfriend wasn’t so keen.  His first reaction was “OMG! what have you done! What happened to my sweet little Andi!” haha.  He was glad to know it’ll wash out over the next week.

The product itself was really easy to use and very inexpensive.  I got it at my local pharmacy for about $10 and I think I’ll get about 4 application out of it.  I had my sister paint it on for me, as I didn’t really trust myself doing it.  All she did was put a first drops of the dye into her gloved hands, rub it between her hands and lightly pepper it through my hair.  We did it very gradually and eventually ended up with this colour.  I didn’t wash it.  Just wrapped it in a towel, slept on it and woke up with this result! It turned out more green/blue than the true blue it showed on the package but I much prefer to the result I got to the package colour.  I also went with more a blended dip dye look rather than a highlights look.  I feel like the highlight or chunky pieces look can come off looking bit like cheap clip in hair pieces.

What do you think?! I’m already kind of excited to try the other colours from the line…

Xo, Andrea

Wow!! I think it's a really fun idea, but I'd definitely get bored of it quickly. For now, have fun with it! :)xo JackieSomething About That
