I still can’t get over the fact that Ken and I ended up at this place by googling “best beaches in Italy”. The little town of Tropea came up multiple times in our search, so we figured we’d give it a go.
I honestly couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Tropea is just a beautiful in person as all the pictures from around the internet. The water was SO blue in the pictures that I really didn’t think it could be that stunning in person, but it really REALLY is.
Almost everyday we were there, we would have breakfast at the hotel, and then head straight to the beach where we would rent an umbrella and two chairs at the waters edge. We would sip beer and mojitos in the afternoon, Ken would read his book he picked up in town, and I was honestly mesmerized by the water for hours.

I was so glad I packed my Triangl bikini for this trip. The neoprene fabric gives the bikini a snug fit which made it perfect for snorkelling and being active in the water. A few of my bikinis are more “sun tanning only” bikinis because the don’t fit exactly right, so they tend to bunch and pull in place I don’t want them to. I really loved the bright colours as well. The highlighter yellow really makes a tan pop!
If you’re looking for a cute and quaint Italian city, I would highly recommend Tropea. We had the best time.
