At the beginning of summer, I made my way out to White Rock for a girls night out with one of my girlfriends. Both of us are nurses so it’s always difficult to find a day or night that works for both of us. Usually about once a month, we find a night to get together.
On this visit, we spent some time on the beach (since it was one of the first days the sun had come out for summer!), we enjoyed a beer on a patio along the strip, had burgers and french fries for dinner and then made fools of ourselves singing karaoke. A pretty typical night out for the two of us and it was a blast! Fingers crossed we will be able to squeeze in another one before the end of summer.
I still can’t get out of this all black and white phase. Occasionally, I do add some blue or another relatively neutral colour, but for the most part, when I open up my wardrobe – all I see it black, white and grey. If you love the monochromatic look as much as I do, but worry that it’s a little boring, I would think about adding more texture to your wardrobe. The eyelet texture on this skirt (love this one too) adds an interesting feminine detail and the brushed silver on the jacket adds an edgy contrast to the girly silhouette.
