With the dark, grey days in full effect here in London, nothing sounds better than snuggling up in my Pj’s watching 90’s movies all day. Unfortunately, I can’t do that EVERYDAY. I try to save those days for the weekend. Plus, Ken tells me I need to get out for fresh air each day, haha. He’s so wise.
A few days ago, I did the next best to my Pj’s. My old comfy jeans, a cozy sweater and my Ugg boots. It’s ultimate comfort while still looking appropriate to be in public. Ugg’s are pretty much my outdoor slipper. In fact, I wear them both inside and outside. They are SO cozy and perfect for long days on my feet in London. As much as I love a good heel, there is just no way it can be done when I’m on and off the tube most of the day.
Since Ken goes to school in town, I hopped on the tube to meet him close to his school. We ventured into Soho on the hunt for a snack and a quick coffee. We eventually found this little restaurant called Muriel’s Kitchen. It was such a cute place! Inside felt very whimsical with hammock chairs, velvet seating and tons of vines and greenery. Outside was just as pretty.
After getting our fill of carbs and soya lattes, we made our way back to our end of town for a wander around Hyde Park. With the golden leaves covering most of the park, the walk through is pretty magical.
I think one of my favourite parts about Hyde Park is watching all the dogs in puppy dreamland. All the leaves, puddles, squirrels! It’s pure puppy bliss! Their happy faces racing through the leaves are enough to turn anyone’s frown upside down.
If you’re wondering which style of Ugg boot this is, it is called the Kara from the new slim line. It is a little more boot shaped than the traditional style. I ordered mine in the tall version, because I like to roll them down to show the fluffy inside. I think it gives it more of a cozy feel and I really like the look of the two tones together.
Now that Halloween has come and gone, I’ve gone coo-coo for Christmas! I can’t wait to pick up our tree from the market and to decorate our flat. Christmas also means… HOME! I can’t wait to see everyone again and to smell my cat and pup! They smell so darn cute.
