On Fridays, Ken has a short day at school and usually wraps things up before noon. You better believe this excited me when we first got his timetable. Off school early = meeting for Friday lunch dates (and a cheeky afternoon beer!).
In the afternoon, I made my way towards Ken’s school, taking a few snaps along the way. Ken was nice enough to come meet me at the tube station to make sure I wouldn’t get lost trying to find him. We weren’t in a huge rush to find food (ie. I wasn’t hang-ry just yet), so we took the opportunity for him too show me around the campus that he hasn’t spent most of his time at over the last year.
We eventually made our way to the Soho area. Which is mainly full of restaurants and bars. Many of them looked very interesting and full of character (and characters!). We will certainly be back on a weekend for a night out sometime soon.
Since I am the most indecisive person EVER! Ken made the restaurant choice. It was a cute little pub on a corner, not far from Ken’s school. We both ordered the exact same meal – the club sandwich and a beer. As much as we tell ourselves we will try something new – when you see a massive club sandwich on the menu, you don’t say no.
We were certainly were not disappointed. It was HUGE! The chicken was fresh roasted chicken piled high on the most delicious bread. It was like leftover Christmas sandwich – club style. We’ve both been talking about it ever since.
After lunch, Ken headed back to campus and I made my way back home. A short but sweet lunch date in the city.
If your in the London area, I’d love to hear some restaurant recommendations! We love to eat out!

You should try Rosa's! It's on Dean Street in Soho. My favourite Thai restaurant!
