I really need to bust out this red lipstick more often. More often than not, I chicken out of a red lip – sometimes it just seems too over the top.  But I must say, I felt rather fierce in my red lip and matching red shoes.  The true red compliments the navy blue dress so well! I added the light coloured bag just to add a little contrast.  I think it all reads very 60’s and feminine which I love! It was perfect for date night.

I spotted these little red shoes at River Island about a month ago and have been gaga for them ever since. They are a perfect BRIGHT red.  Not dull looking and not orange. At first I thought I might be limited as to what I could wear with them, but I’ve really been wearing them with everything. It helps that most of my wardrobe is pretty neutral, but I think they look great with other colours as well.

I thought I’d add something a little different to this post and share a few pictures of the remainder of our night! Let me know if you like this!

Once the sun had set, and we were satisfied we had enough pictures with my eyes open for a blog post, we headed back home.  Ken still had a little work to finish up before we went out to dinner.  He was nice enough to stop what he was doing for 30 minutes so we could pop out to take these pictures before sunset 🙂

So, I was on my own until Ken wrapped things up.  Who better to spend my time with than Mr.Brie! YUM! I put together a quick cheese plate, poured myself a glass of wine and patiently waited.  

Once the cheese had disappeared and Ken was done work, we walked to Portobello Road and made our way into a tiny Italian restaurant for dinner.  We devoured a tasty meal of red wine, calamari, thin crust pizza and cannoli for dessert.  You can watch our whole day in action in the vlog I did that day HERE.
