If you watched my recent Favourites Video on Youtube, you would know that I’m starting to get into this updo thing. I think it’s the sweet English (Notting Hill in particular) influence that is starting to get to me. I find myself leaning towards very feminine, lady-like silhouettes and pushing my boyfriend jeans to the back of my closet. Ken even said to me the other day “you are dressing more normal recently – I like it!” haha. By normal he means non trendy or edgy outfits. He will always prefer me in a girly dress or a simple pair or jeans and a t-shirt.
The retro updo’s are starting working their way into my every style. I’m slowly learning how to make them work with my baby fine hair that refuses any type of volume, after many youtube videos and too many hours on Pinterest, haha. The best part is, I don’t have to wash my hair! In fact, these up do’s work best with dirty hair. The dirtier the better! Maybe that’s secretly why I love it so much, haha. Lazy girl problems.
If I was going to sport a full on 60’s undo for the day, I thought I’d go all out with an off the shoulder top, neck scarf and cat eye sunglasses. Just missing the bold red lip.
My heart breaks thinking about leaving this sweet little area we live in. I don’t think it has really sunk in that we are moving back home yet. I really feel like my heart belongs here and Ken feels the same way. If we could relocate all our friends and family, we would move here permanently in an instant. But I must say, I’m pretty excited to find an apartment in Vancouver to decorate before I head back to work at the hospital.
I’ve got a ton of new stuff up on my youtube channel, so make sure to subscribe here to be notified of new uploads!
