PINK IN MONTMARTRE, PARIS

Although we have been lucky enough to have visted Paris many times now, we have never managed to make it to Montmontre. I have no idea why because it isn’t far from where we usually stay and it is so worth the trip! If your not familiar with the area, you will be when you scroll down and recognize the spots from Pinterest πŸ™‚

The obligatory visit to Le Consulat. We only passed by the first time, but the second time we used their outdoor space to take cover from the rain. We didn’t have the best weather that day, so we weren’t able to snap many pictures because I had the camera hidden in my jacket most of the day.

The tiny table you see out front made for the perfect cover. We sat and people watched, ordered some wine and gasped as huge buses tried to swerve down the TINY cobblestone roads. I really thought some of them weren’t going to make it, but somehow they always did.

Usually I’m not an all pink outfit kind of gal. But this outfit was created out of comfort. It was so cold and rainy that I had to wear a hat and this was the only one I had packed with me. I actually really loved the way it all came together – so it all worked out πŸ™‚ The coat is one of my favourites to date. I worn it so many times – here and here. I bought it years ago in a Zara sale when we lived in London. I think I paid about 20pounds for it. It’s one of those items I reach for over and over again.

Boots – Acne studio Jensen boots – Available here and here

I was actually surprised to discover how tiny the area actually was! There is really only a few streets to the place. It was full of tourist the day we were there so we didn’t do any shopping in the small shops that line the streets. Our favourite way to travel is to just wander around, people watch and snap a few pictures along the way. And obviously find a good glass of wine or a beer πŸ™‚

My Gucci Soho Disco handbag was a purchase I made just a couple of weeks before we left for France. I originally went into the store thinking I would get the beige version just because I already had two other luxury bags in black but when I tried it on, something didn’t feel quite right. Even though I was dead set on walking out with something in hand that day – I walked away and asked Ken to come back with me a few days later. I tried both on for him and he knew right away – the black one. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. It’s quickly become my everyday bag. I think I’ll do a review of this bag either here or on my youtube channel so I can give you the full run down of it πŸ™‚

Have you been to Montmontre? What did you think? Does it look as good in person as it does on Pinterest?

Xo, Andrea

Nooo, don't say that. People are definitely reading your blog and I would LOVE to read more! To be honest, at the risk of sounding totally nerdy your blog (and Instagram and Youtube) have inspired me to maybe/sorta give it a go myself. Thanks for the camera details and I would LOVE to run into you in Paris some day as well!! πŸ™‚

You should go for it!!! It's a LOT of work but such a fun and creative outlet. Especially being a nurse, I needed something creative to focus on my days off. It can be very therapeutic! Especially when people connect – like yourself! πŸ™‚ So thank you!
