CANADA + A FEW OUTFITS

It all kind of feels like a dream now that I’m looking back on these pictures! Times fly’s when you’re hopping all over the world – haha!

Not sure if I mentioned it here before I left, but I headed back home to Vancouver to visit the family and to party it up at my best friends stagette. I had to leave poor Ken at home because he is a busy bee at work these days and wasn’t able to take time off. So I jumped on the plane solo, watched 9.5 hours of The Hangover and Mrs. Doubtfire (I’m famous for watching the same movie over and over again) and I was back on home soil for a few weeks.

Mom and the pup came to pick me up at the airport which was lovely but I must say, I was shocked by this little guys reaction! I don’t know if it was just all the excitement of the car and people buzzing around or what – but I feel like he forgot who I was!!! The initial lack of interest was heartbreaking haha! I guess that’s what I get for leaving the country for 7 months. It took him a few minutes, but he soon realized I really was his long lost sis and we were back to our old ways.

I knocked the socks off my jetlag on this trip. Normally I’m a mess for about a week but I pushed through the first day and I was sorted. I kept myself up (kind of, I don’t remember a lot from the night and struggled to keep my eyes open) until 10pm and slept right through until 5am! The next day I felt great! I kept waiting for that flu-like feeling to hit me but it never did. My body must be getting accustom to me screwing around with it now with all this jumping around world I’m doing.

First on my agenda (other than visiting with family, obviously!) was to sort out my hair situation. I hadn’t done anything to since early December (other than a quick trim while in Fontainebleau) so I was feeling pretty scruffy. So I’m back to fresh blonde and a nice blunt cut.

The airport outfit. Or at least the first layer of it. I keep going on and on about this jumpsuit over on my youtube channel but I’ve been living in this thing! I could easily sleep in it too if I wanted – it’s SO comfy and soft. So naturally it was my first choice airport getup. It’s one of my “yell it from the roof top” steals from shein.com. Shein is one of those hit or miss sites – you never really know what you’re going to get – but this one was a VERY pleasant surprise. You can buy it HERE.

I spent a good portion of my second day at home getting my old room organized. Ken and I moved into my mom’s house shortly before the big move to France and never really found a good spot to put all our things (just imagine moving a 1200sq foot apartment into a single bedroom! – yikes!). So when we left, there were still a few things hanging around and bits and bobs without homes. PLUS we had shipped two large boxes home, as well as suitcase that my mom brought home with her from Fonty. Lets just say that every nook and cranny of that bedroom and something STUFFED into it.

I could NOT wait to get back to our family cabin in the states. I’ve been looking forward to these few days up there for months! Ken was incredibly jealous. He loves that place as much as I do.

Mom, the pup and I headed down there for a long weekend of beer, pool time, BBQ-ing and walks in the fresh air. It was glorious! I vlogged a lot of the trip so make sure to subscribe to my youtube channel (click HERE) so you don’t miss that.

I only ended up taking pictures of this one outfit while there because I decided to really disconnect while at home. If fact, the pictures in this post are pretty much the only pictures on my camera roll from the last 3 weeks. I probably looked at instagram a handful of times and even forgot where my phone was most days! It was great.

You can check out what I wore down at the cabin in THIS post called Cute Camping Outfits ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s definitely glamping, not camping, so I usually end up wearing something more than just sweats ๐Ÿ™‚

The shorts are REALLY old from Forever 21 andhe army green shirt was thrift find from the day before. I vlogged that thrift shopping trip in my lastest video that you can watch HERE or by clicking the video at the bottom of this post ๐Ÿ™‚

I had to include a few semi-PG pictures from the big event while at home. These are the only 3 pictures I have that felt somewhat appropriate to post here – haha!

The whole things took place in Whistler (about a 2 hours drive from Vancouver), we splurged on a fancy suite at the Hilton which was LOVELY! Friday was more of a casual night so we decided to dress the bride up in a crazy outfit. All was provided by my moms well stocked halloween cupboard! Not to our surprise, she LOVED being dressed up like a weirdo. Bubs (the bride) is always up for a good time and had no problem having a laugh at herself ๐Ÿ™‚

Saturday the group went zip-lining in the morning, while myself and few of the other girls decorated the suite with inappropriate decorations that we purchased mostly from Spencers Gifts. The best money we spent for the weekend was on the Butlers in the Buff. They were AMAZING! They played games with us, got the crowd going, made our drinks, helped clean up!!!! Can’t say enough good things about our experience with them.

This one was just to indicate that I was vlogging A TON while at home. Subscribe to watch those HERE and watch the first one that is live at the bottom of the post.

Long story short, that was my trip home! It was glamping, party planning, life admin stuff (banking, renewing my Driver License – boring stuff), throwing a party in Whistler then back home to our flat in London.

Watch the first vlog from my trip home where I get my hair done, I try the new A&W beyond meat burger in my car, play with the puppy and go thrift shopping (plus try it all on!) below :
